Cabin and charter rates are published as single figures rather than seasonal bands. What genuinely changes through the year is availability and how far ahead you need to commit.

A note on the park fee, because it is the most misreported number in Komodo. The USD 40-50 foreign-visitor tariff comes from PP No. 36 Tahun 2024 as socialised by Balai Taman Nasional Komodo, and it covers entrance including trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling. The higher figures circulating for Komodo or Padar are bundled operator totals that add regional retribution and ranger charges on top of the national tariff. Neither figure is wrong; they measure different things.

How to book, in three steps
Step one — send the brief. Dates or a date window, number of guests, cabin preference or whether you want the whole boat, and anything that changes the plan: dietary requirements, mobility limits, a birthday, a drone.
Step two — get it in writing. The reservations desk returns a written quotation stating the rate, the inclusions, the exclusions and the cancellation terms. Do not proceed on a verbal figure, and check that the quotation names the vessel, the duration and the guest count.
Step three — deposit. Fifty per cent confirms the dates. The balance falls due 30 days before departure, or in full at confirmation if you are booking inside 30 days. The deposit is non-refundable on cancellation, so buy travel insurance that covers trip cancellation before you transfer it.
Drone permits need at least seven days’ notice and cost USD 135, so raise that in step one rather than step three.

How much should I budget for park fees?
Under PP 36/2024 the entrance tariff is USD 40-50 per foreign visitor per visit, and USD 20-25 for Indonesian visitors. Ranger and local retribution charges are collected on site and vary.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. The 50% deposit is non-refundable on cancellation, which is standard when a vessel is taken off open sale for your dates. Travel insurance covering trip cancellation is the sensible protection.
Can I hold a date before paying?
Dates are held on a first-deposit basis. The reservations desk will normally hold a provisional option for a short period while you confirm flights, but a date is only secure once the deposit clears.
Are there discounts for children?
Child arrangements are handled case by case at the reservations desk, since the constraint is berths rather than headcount – a family of four in Aurea or Tide occupies one cabin regardless of ages. Ask for it in writing with your quotation.
What happens if the weather forces a change?
The captain may alter the route or the order of stops for safety. That is standard across every operator in the park. Trips are not normally cancelled for weather once under way; the itinerary flexes instead, which is the argument for a 4D3N in the windier months.

Vessel dimensions, cabin layout, engine and generator data, charter tiers and cabin rates on this page are the figures published by the operator, Komodo Luxury, on its Naturalia charter listing. National park tariffs are taken from PP No. 36 Tahun 2024 as socialised by Balai Taman Nasional Komodo. Sunrise and sunset times are computed for Padar Island (8°39′S, 119°35′E) in WITA (UTC+8) and are accurate to about three minutes. Sailing times between anchorages are operational ranges, not fixed schedules — they move with tide, wind and ranger queues, and we write them as ranges for that reason. Rates are quoted for the 2027 season and were last reviewed on 1 August 2026; always confirm the current rate in writing before transferring a deposit.
