The realistic answer about connectivity
Komodo National Park is roughly 1,817 square kilometres of islands and sea with almost no permanent settlement across most of it. Connectivity follows population, and there is very little population. So the honest answer to “is there Wi-Fi” is: assume no, be pleased when there is.

Signal is network-dependent and changes with weather, tower load and where the boat sits in a bay. This is a realistic expectation table, not a coverage map.

The backup generator is the specification worth noticing. A second set at the same 31.3 kVA rating means the boat can take one offline and still run cabin air conditioning — which is the difference between a comfortable night at anchor and one where the AC is switched off after dinner. What to bring
A multi-socket extension or a two-port charger. Cabin sockets are limited and you will have a phone, a camera and possibly a drone all wanting the same outlet.
A power bank. Charged before you board. It is the simplest solution to the Padar morning, when you are off the boat in the dark for two hours with a camera.
Spare camera and drone batteries. There is no shop in the national park. Charging works, but eight cabins sharing outlets creates queues.
Your Indonesian adaptor. Nothing special — the same type C/F plug as any hotel in Bali.

Telling people at home, properly
The commonest connectivity problem on a Komodo cruise is not the guest — it is a relative at home who expects a daily message and does not get one. Fix it before you leave.

Working from a Komodo cruise: don’t
People ask, so: no. Even with satellite internet fitted, the day structure defeats it. You are up at 04:26 for Padar, in the water three or four times, moving between anchorages during the hours a meeting would sit, and offline for the entire southern leg. A cruise is a poor office and an excellent holiday, and trying to make it both produces neither.
